Apply via Dice today!Client is looking for Web Migration Specialist supports and it''s Hybrid position 2 to 3 days onsite in a weekRequired Skills: (3-5 years’ experience)WordPress CMS ExpertiseExperience building, managing, and migrating WordPress-based websites, including migration best practices such as:SEO preservation (e.g., redirects)Content integrity and validationAccessibility considerations during migrationFunctional Requirements & Solution MappingAbility to assess site functionality requirements (e.g., forms, workflows, search, events, integrations) and recommend appropriate solutions using comparable plugins or native features available within the Sites@GT platform, including identifying alternatives when custom or unsupported plugins are in use.Customer Engagement & CommunicationStrong ability to work directly with customers to:Gather and clarify requirementsRecommend appropriate solutions using the Sites@GT platformClearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesWeb Accessibility Best PracticesWorking knowledge of WCAG guidelines and accessible web design standards, with the ability to identify and address accessibility issues during migrationsDNS & Domain Configuration FundamentalsUnderstanding of basic DNS concepts and domain configuration, including setting up and validating site URLs (e.g., custom domains, subdomains) and coordinating DNS updates required for migrating sites to Sites@GT.Prioritization & PlanningAbility to prioritize and sequence website migrations based on factors such as:Site visibility and audience reachTechnical complexityInstitutional impact (high-profile vs. low-profile sites)Preferred SkillsGit / Version ControlFamiliarity with Git or similar version control systems for managing web code and supporting deployment workflows“Taras Technology, LLC is an EEO/AA Employer: women, minorities, the disabled and veterans are encouraged to apply”
