Store Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Store Manager to lead our retail team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and implement sales strategies to meet business goals. Your leadership will foster a positive environment for both the staff and the customers.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer experiences
Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing workforce when needed
Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
Oversee cash handling
Implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to increase store revenue
Monitor store performance through sales data analysis and retail math principles; adjust plans accordingly
Maintain a safe, organized environment by supervising cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with company policies
Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette with strong communication skills
Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training & development programs to enhance team capabilities through Batteries Plus University
Manage scheduling shifts efficiently while ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak times
Skills
Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer bases
Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math calculations
Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques
Experience with payroll administration, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
Ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills
Familiarity with marketing initiatives and retail sales strategies to boost store performance
Demonstrate ability in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development when needed
Knowledge of cellphone or device related product categories is advantageous
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail in stock management and store presentation
