The Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Mary's Home on the North Side of Chicago are seeking a cheerful, strong, and dependable employee to serve as a Housekeeper in their Home for the elderly poor. REQUIREMENTS: Experience in a healthcare housekeeping department (hospital or nursing home) is preferred; Perform, follow and adhere to proper body mechanics necessary to perform duties; Must be able to stand most of shift and do repetitive arm/shoulder movements; Steady work history with good attendance; The ability to work individually as well as part of a team; Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug test. JOB DUTIES: Clean and disinfect resident rooms and common areas; Follow all safety, security, exposure control and hazardous waste policies and procedures ; Strive for optimal use of supplies, materials; keeping in mind cost and budget limitations; Work effectively and cooperatively as a team member within Department and with all departments or other disciplines; Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
