Individuals are respected for their contributions toward our company objectives, and we strive for an inclusive environment across all levels that reflects the communities we serve.Job SummaryCenterPoint Energy is seeking a Lead or Senior Contractor Safety Specialist to join our Quality Program Management Team, located in Houston, TX, Evansville, IN, or Minneapolis, MN.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, review, and evaluate contractor safety performance, including field safety evaluations and incident tracking.Manage and update the contractor safety written program and safety scorecard criteria.Coordinate and host the annual Contractor Safety Summit.Communicate safety observation trends and provide recommendations to the Contractor Safety Programs Manager.Verify timely implementation of corrective and preventative safety actions by contractors.Engage with internal and external contacts regarding contractor safety oversight.Participate in contractor orientations, meetings, and industry conferences.Manage third-party safety representatives as applicable.Develop and maintain safety work instructions and conduct cross-training.Assist with contractor onboarding and offboarding processes.Travel as required, including overnight stays, with a valid driver's license and safe driving record.Apply safety expertise aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements such as DOT, OSHA, PHMSA, NEC, NESC, EPA.Additional InformationThis role involves travel, some overnight, and requires the ability to operate company vehicles safely and legally.J-18808-Ljbffr
