Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and prior travel nursing experience.Job Details• Acute care Med/Surg unit (2W) in a large hospital setting (250+ beds),• Level 1 trauma center,• General medical/surgical patient population,• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift,• 10-bed unit,• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend required,• Every other holiday (EOH) coverage required,• EMR: Epic (experience required),• Equipment includes AccuDose, bladder scanner, Philips monitors, and telemetry,• May float to any Med/Surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Active ND or compact RN license required,• BLS certification (AHA) required,• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required,• Experience in a larger hospital (250+ beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center required,• Epic EMR experience required,• Prior travel nursing experience required (completed assignments; currently on a first travel assignment is not sufficient); travel experience within the last year preferred,• First-time travelers will not be considered,• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years,• All certifications must be active at time of consideration (no pending certifications),• Active RN license required at time of consideration,Additional Information• Collaborates with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care,• Practices within the full scope of nursing expertise using age- and population-specific standards,• Navy blue scrubs required,• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility,• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position,• Candidates residing between 61 and 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a local pay rate,
