Responsibilities
Meet or exceed all safety, quality, and productivity requirements for assigned projects.
Lead, direct, and mentor Foremen and crews on all project aspects to ensure on-time completion while meeting all financial and non-financial objectives.
Staff projects, actively recruit new talent, retain existing employees, and promote career advancement.
Manage employee relations, provide recognition, discipline, and performance evaluations.
Recruit and recommend additional subcontractors for approval.
Initiate training and cross-training for all personnel to develop subject-matter expertise.
Plan and schedule projects, taking action to meet or beat deadlines.
Monitor overall project performance against safety, productivity, and quality standards, and resolve issues appropriately.
Review and approve daily crew time, time reports, invoices, purchase orders, and other required paperwork.
Perform daily preventative maintenance on construction equipment and report issues to the Fleet Manager.
Report weekly to the Fleet Manager on equipment hours, miles, and related data.
Understand project contracts for assigned projects.
Abide by all company, manufacturer, OSHA, and other industry safety and operational procedures.
Establish positive relationships with crews, customers, and subcontractors.
Document and maintain a daily log of project events.
Manage documents and submit change orders for timely approval.
Approve subcontractor units, production, quality, accuracy, and inventory.
Ensure accurate redlines, as-built drawings, production footage, and subcontractor management for on-schedule, on-budget projects.
Pre-plan mobilization of crews, equipment, subs, materials, and other project items.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Factors
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift as needed.
Coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs to perform skilled movements.
Travel and be away from home for extended periods.
Complete 100% travel.
Education and Experience
Five (5) years supervisory experience in a utility construction setting.
Field experience with digging operations in city and rural areas around utilities, operating equipment such as backhoe/loader, excavator, cable plow, and compact track loader with attachments.
Requirements
Valid Driver's License; Class A CDL preferred.
Pass pre-employment screenings.
Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead teams.

Computer literacy and experience using Microsoft and Google G Suite.
