The Position We're looking for an experienced PPC Manager to run our paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft (Bing) Ads, and related channels. The job is straightforward: drive qualified, high-intent leads for our litigation support, trial services, and court reporting business in competitive legal markets across the country. You'll own the strategy and the budget. You'll see exactly how your campaigns translate into booked jobs and revenue. This isn't a role where your work disappears into a dashboard nobody checks. Leadership pays attention to these numbers, and you'll have a direct line to how the business is performing. You'll join our marketing team and work alongside people in content, web, design, and social. This is an on-site position in our Portland office. Why This Role Legal PPC is a tough space. Key Responsibilities Paid Search Strategy & Execution Own and manage paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft (Bing) Ads, and Social Media Ads Develop keyword strategies aligned to legal services, geographic markets, and practice areas Create, test, and optimize search, retargeting, and audience-based campaigns Plan, execute, and document structured A/B tests across ads, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies Structure accounts for scalability, clarity, and long-term performance Conversion & Lead Quality Optimization Optimize landing pages, forms, and calls-to-action in collaboration with web and content teams Monitor lead quality in coordination with Sales and Operations Own end-to-end tag management strategy, including deployment, validation, and ongoing governance Adjust bids, keywords, and messaging to prioritize scheduled jobs and revenue, not just leads Implement and maintain conversion tracking (calls, forms, scheduling tools) Budget Management & ROI Accountability Manage monthly and quarterly PPC budgets Forecast spend and expected outcomes by market and service line Identify waste quickly and reallocate budget to high-performing campaigns Provide clear recommendations for budget spending Collaboration Work closely with the entire Marketing Team to execute on the strategic direction Align PPC campaigns with broader marketing initiatives and seasonal demand Partner with Web and Content Development teams to design, launch, and optimize PPC-specific landing pages Work with Social Media, Design, and other marketing areas as needed Required Qualifications 4+ years of hands-on PPC management experience, preferably in a legal environment Deep expertise in Google Ads (search, segmentation, audiences, bidding strategies), Microsoft Ads, keyword research, and competitive analysis Hands-on experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests across ads, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies Experience optimizing PPC for lead quality, not just volume Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in legal, professional services, or B2B services marketing Understanding of attribution challenges in variable sales cycles (e.g., 2 days to 3 months) Familiarity with call tracking platforms and CRM integration Experience working with multi-location or national service businesses What Success Looks Like Cost per qualified lead goes down over time Conversion rates from click to scheduled service improve consistently Campaign performance and ROI are clearly visible and well-documented Marketing leads align with what Operations can actually handle Paid acquisition is reliable and predictable month over month Benefits Include Paid Time Off after 90 days.
