We aren't just a subcontractor; we are a critical design-assist partner for massive data centers, bio-pharma facilities, and semi-conductor plants.We are looking for a Project Design Engineer who is tired of the "revolving door" of firms and wants a permanent home. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the Vice President, where you will be an architect of our continued growth.This isn't your standard residential or light commercial gig. You will be operating in a sophisticated, 100% commercial design-build environment.- Complexity: You'll design CDA systems, nitrogen piping, and multi-million-dollar industrial kitchens.- Ownership: You'll take conceptual ideas-sometimes just a few sketches and a list of requirements-and turn them into 100% permit-ready drawings.- Collaboration: You are the face of our design team. You'll lead meetings with architects, coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineers, and manage the RFI process from start to finish.- Versatility: While design is the heartbeat of this role, you'll apply your technical expertise to help us win work, contributing roughly 5-10% of your time to high-level estimating.Key Responsibilities:- Transform conceptual builds into full Revit/CAD designs for high-tech and industrial facilities.- Lead design meetings and coordinate seamlessly with external trade partners and architects.- Manage the full lifecycle of a design: from initial sketches to city plan check responses and permit-ready sets.- Draft technical RFIs and update drawings based on field and city feedback.- Collaborate with the VP during preconstruction to ensure designs are both innovative and buildable.We are looking for a specialist who can hit the ground running and to be successful, you must possess the following qualifications:- Expert-Level Plumbing Knowledge: A deep understanding of commercial plumbing systems is non-negotiable.- Design-Build Mastery: Proven experience navigating the design-build process from concept to completion.- Regulatory Expertise: Absolute proficiency in the California Plumbing Code (CPC).- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Revit and AutoCAD.- Career Stability: We value loyalty.
