Position We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist / Senior Scientist to join our Therapeutics Biology team. This role will be part of a team focused on foundational discovery biology, evaluating the therapeutic potential of our neuro-immune platform and validating targets across a broad range of autoimmune diseases. Ideal candidates will use their scientific acumen and collaborative approach to partner across the interdisciplinary Nilo team on all aspects of the drug discovery process. What you'll do:Independently design and conduct both in vitro and in vivo models of inflammationDevelop acute and chronic experiments in rodents to evaluate targets using inflammatory disease modelsUtilize primary cell culture, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, basic molecular biology and immune assays to probe the neuro-immune axisPerform H&E / immunofluorescence staining and confocal microscopyStay up to date with emerging scientific literature and contribute to the strategic vision of the company.Independently prepare data and present to the teamWork to improve existing animal protocols and implement solutions / troubleshoot as needed Key Qualifications:Ph.D. in Immunology, Biology, or a related discipline0-4 years of biotech or pharma industry experienceStrong background in immunological assays, both in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivoExtensive hands-on experience working with animal models in rodentsHands-on experience with multi-color flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, primary cell culture, ELISA, and basic molecular biology techniquesExcellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Flexibility to learn new methods and skills for changing research prioritiesAbility to keep detailed and organized records of experimental protocols and resultsAbility to work independently and collaborate as member of a research teamAbility to prioritize tasks, coordinate work tasks with others, and meet multiple deadlinesProven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and motivated to make significant contributions for the growth of a high-paced start-up.A passion for high-quality, translational science and a desire to discover novel biology and new drugs We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a range of benefits designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our team members.
