Staff Full Stack Engineer | Python & Django | Series A Fintech Scale-UpI have partnered with an exceptionally well-funded Series A fintech scale-up ($14M total funding) that is building a modern, API-driven operating system for the workflow automation and SaaS space.They are looking for a heavy-hitting Staff Full Stack Engineer to join their lean, senior engineering team. Please note that we are strictly seeking candidates who currently reside within the New York City Metropolitan Area. In this role, you will work directly alongside the Head of Engineering and the CEO, owning major features and platform architecture end-to-end.This is a backend-leaning role designed for a "jack of all trades, master of one" who possesses deep expertise in Python and Django, paired with the full-stack range to handle modern frontend frameworks and cloud infrastructure. If your primary enterprise experience is rooted in Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js, your profile will not pass our initial technical screening, as this architecture is purely Python-based.The Role & ImpactTechnical Leadership: Lead key components of the product roadmap from initial technical design through to production deployment.End-to-End Ownership: Design, build, and maintain full-stack features powering core customer workflows, payment infrastructure, and third-party API integrations.Infrastructure Management: Own and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS utilizing containerized and orchestrated services (Docker, Kubernetes, Celery).Engineering Culture: Help guide a talented technical team, mentor other engineers, and raise the bar for code quality, SDLC, and CI/CD pipelines.What We Are Looking ForLocation: Current residence within the New York City Metropolitan Area. Remote applicants from outside this region or candidates requiring relocation assistance cannot be considered.Experience: Over eight years of experience building production-grade web applications, ideally within a fast-paced, scaling environment.The Core Stack: Upwards of five years of professional, commercial experience specifically with Python and Django (Django REST Framework is a distinct advantage).
