Maintenance Supervisor
Purpose/Scope
The Maintenance Supervisor will provide support to production operations and/or facility needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for directing and guiding maintenance activities for assigned area/shift in the execution of maintenance plans
Conducts maintenance in accordance with OSHA and PCI guidelines
Responsible for development of maintenance employees in assigned areas
Responsible for problem solving process to resolve and/or mitigate those operational issues
Responsible for support of Lean training
Ensure achievement of all area/shift Key Performance Indicators; ensure adherence to and continuous improvement for all areas
Responsible for supporting the execution of relevant projects within area
Maintain understanding of processes and functional interdependencies
Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as potential risks/opportunities to improve plant performance
Proactively engage in the development and training of hourly labor
Adhere to and administer company policies and procedures
Prioritize shift work, while properly assigning shift resources for optimal performance
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Two (2) year technical degree or equivalent
Five (5) years mechanical experience in an industrial environment
Other Required Qualifications
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, able to work towards root analysis
Ability to adapt to change, embrace Lean concepts and willingly accept new challenges and responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to handle complex issues
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with employees throughout organization
Proven ability to effectively lead people and promote positive employee relations
Proven project management experience
Shift flexibility is required as this role will be supporting a 24/7 operation
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as Mechanical Engineering preferred
Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs
Maintenance and electrical training/experience
Experience with Production/Maintenance reporting systems
Physical Requirements
Plant/Yard: Move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projection
Work Environment
Plant/Yard: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles, vibrations from machinery and vehicles, loud noises, little to no climate control, varying amounts of light, stairs, narrow walkways
