Asset/Move Project Manager I (Relocation Project Manager)
About the roleFranciscon Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asset/Move Project Manager I to support the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) through its PMO/Regional team based at East Los Angeles College. This position leads the full lifecycle of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) management and move/relocation coordination for new construction, renovation, and swing space projects across the District.What you'll doManage FF&E programming, specification, procurement coordination, budget tracking, installation, and punch list activities for new, renovated, and swing space projectsLead move management from scope creation and bid analysis through onsite oversight and post-move close-outCollaborate with College Project Directors, Architects, Project Managers, and Building User Groups (BUGs) to define scope, schedule, and FF&E requirementsIdentify and coordinate swing space needs and develop construction/FF&E scope as neededCreate and validate FF&E budgets at key project milestones; provide value-engineering solutions to stay on budgetReview design and construction documents; coordinate electrical, data, and infrastructure requirements with FF&E vendorsCoordinate IT equipment planning with the Technology Project Manager for procurement and installationManage asset tagging of new FF&E and disposition of surplus items prior to demolition or renovationMaintain all FF&E and move-related documentation including purchase orders, packing slips, freight bills, and invoicesProvide regular project status reports to the Manager of Relocation Project ManagementMinimum qualifications4-year degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture/Design, Construction/Project Management, Planning, or Facilities Management — or 8–12 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of degree6–10 years of project management experience in Move/Relocation, FF&E Coordination/Procurement, Interior Design, or Facilities ManagementAbility to read architectural and furniture drawingsKnowledge of furniture and equipment specifications and procurement processesFlexibility to work across multiple District college campuses and site locationsStrong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or BluebeamPreferred qualificationsExperience with educational or public works projectsProcurement, FF&E sourcing, or asset management backgroundProficiency in AutoCAD and/or Visio or other design softwareInterior Design Certification (CID, CCIDQ)Professional membership with IIDA, AIA, IFMA, or LEED certificationWhy choose Franciscon Consulting, Inc.?Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time off, holidays, and sick leave to support work-life balance401(k) retirement plan with company contribution
