Job DescriptionLab Director Location: Boca Raton, FLSchedule: Day ShiftSalary Range: $94,000 - $140,000 (based on experience)Position SummaryWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Lab Director to lead laboratory operations within an acute care hospital setting in Boca Raton, FL. This role is responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating all laboratory functions to ensure high-quality, accurate, timely, and cost-effective diagnostic services.The Lab Director ensures compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements and provides leadership across administrative, fiscal, and technical operations. This position encompasses all responsibilities of a Laboratory Supervisor under Florida regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and operational leadership for all laboratory departmentsEnsure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies, accreditation standards, and Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel requirementsOversee quality assurance, quality control, and performance improvement initiativesDirect administrative, fiscal, and technical laboratory activitiesDevelop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocationEnsure accurate, timely, and efficient reporting of laboratory resultsLead, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff and supervisorsMaintain adherence to established policies, procedures, and scope of practice regulationsDrive continuous improvement and operational excellenceFoster a collaborative and high-performance laboratory environmentMinimum Education RequirementsMust meet one of the following:Education and/or work experience recognized by the State of Florida to qualify as a Clinical Laboratory Director or SupervisorPreferred:Bachelor of Science in Medical TechnologyRequired ExperienceMinimum five (5) years of supervisory or management experienceExperience must be within an acute care hospital laboratory settingRequired Licensure & CertificationsCurrent or eligible Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor licenseMust be qualified in at least three (3) of the following laboratory areas:MicrobiologySerologyClinical ChemistryHematologyImmunohematology (Blood Bank)Preferred:ASCP national certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS)Core CompetenciesStrong regulatory and compliance knowledgeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven leadership and team development skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environmentFinancial and operational acumenFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced settingWheeler Staffing Partners is committed to connecting healthcare leaders with organizations that prioritize quality patient care and operational excellence.Meet Your RecruiterCody Mirander
