The Food Service Associate also practices appropriate food handling techniques and safety procedures while demonstrating excellent customer service skills on a consistent basis.Essential FunctionsAssembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus and patient/guest specific requirementsAdheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with patients and guestsAreas are restocked as needed to meet department demandsPerforms sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelinesEnsures cooking and serving equipment is prewashed, washed and sanitized per department proceduresOther duties as assignedEducationHigh School Degree or GED preferredExperienceNo experience required; On-the-job training will be providedPrevious Food Industry or Customer Service experience preferredSkills & AbilitiesAble to write and understand written and oral communicationsEngage with staff and patients in a professional mannerBasic math skillsTHIS IS A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT POSITIONAs a Mercy Health associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.
