Contact a Physician RecruiterJob ID: 1139826LocationOpportunity CriteriaSpecialty: RadiologyProfession: Nurse PractitionerDetailsJob DescriptionJob Title: Advanced Practice NurseLocation: Barnabas Health Medical GroupDepartment Name: Radiation Oncology TRReq #: 0000246604Status: SalariedShift: DayPay Range: $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per yearPay TransparencyThe above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.Job SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner is responsible for performing duties independently following established and standardized procedures and methods referring questionable situations to physicianThe NP provides primary health care through assessment, diagnosis, clinical judgment and management to restore, maintain and improve the health status of patientsIn addition, the NP is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments - i,e, damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas - and medical errors,Essential FunctionsAdministers injections, immunizations and oral medications, starts IVAssists physician by recording patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders, and transcribes ordersAssists with various counseling and education functionsBilling for patient services based on CMS and NJ State Board RegulationsDemonstrates satisfactory knowledge and judgment to provide appropriate care for patientsDevelops plan of care for patients in coordination with multidisciplinary team and completes appropriate reports to physicians and familyDocuments and maintains patient records of services provided according to facility and nursing standardsEstablishes a collaborative relationship with other medical providersExamines patients to determine presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, ascertains nature and extent of illness and prescribes treatments as indicatedInterviews, instructs and advises patients regarding health and illness preventionInstructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructionsIssues prescriptions to patients based on Federal & State RegulationsOrders and reviews appropriate laboratory and diagnostic proceduresReviews all lab data and documentsParticipates in the development of protocolsPerforms and obtains a completed medical history and physical data on patients with appropriate documentation and findingsPerforms independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situationsProvides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visitsResponsible for coordinating nursing and training programs on compliant for policies such as HIPAA, OSHA, Code of ConductResponsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practiceReviews and audits charts routinelySutures wounds, incise and drains wounds, repairs lacerationsWorks in collaboration with a physician to diagnose conditions as necessaryJob RequirementsMasters degree in Nursing requiredRegistered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license; CDS and DEACPR certificationNP CertificationThree to five years of work experience as a professional nurseMonday to FridayContact a Physician Recruiter
