Seeking General Sessions Prosecutors Employer Profile: The Third Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s office prosecutes criminal offenses in General Sessions Court for Sumter, Lee, Clarendon, and Williamsburg Counties. Job Description: The Third Circuit Solicitor’s Office is seeking full-time prosecutors to prepare and prosecute criminal cases in General Sessions Court. As a prosecutor, your responsibilities will be but not limited to preparing cases for trials, pleas, and hearings; drafting legal documents; meeting with victims, law enforcement agencies as well as other county and city agencies. Must be able to prioritize and manage an assigned caseload. Must be an effective communicator and a team player. Qualifications: Applicants must be admitted to the South Carolina Bar. Applicants with prior criminal case experience are preferred, but we are willing to train and support recent graduates. Salary: Based on experience.
