Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraftelectro-environmental systems. Repairs, replaces, rebuilds, and adjusts aircraft electroenvironmentalsystems, test equipment and aircraft accessories. Extensive knowledge of electroenvironmentalsystems and associated support equipment. Reads and interprets manufacturers' andaircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and otherspecifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning ordamaged components. Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required.Receives technical guidance from managers, supervisors, leads or higher-level technicians asrequired. May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as directed by management.Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance,enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs,records, or electronic equivalent as required. May be required to monitor and lead teams to performmore complex aircraft inspections and repairs. May be required to aid writing/initiatingengineering technical assistance requests. All electro-environmental personnel must be able to passa color vision test. Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads,and more senior technicians.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 6 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Electrical andEnvironmental technician with at least 2 years as F-16 Electrical and Environmental within thelast 10 years required. Extensive knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strictadherence to aircraft technical data is required. All electro-environmental personnel must be ableto pass a color vision test.Working Conditions:High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirableMust speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data andspecial operating instructions in the same language.Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms).Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash.Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license.
