Construction ManagerPosition OverviewThe Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards with K-12 school district, community college, and university projects. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring DSA compliance with safety regulations and building codes.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the planning and implementation of construction projects.Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.Create and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.Manage site operations and workforce to ensure efficient project execution.Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and compliance.Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and safety practices.Manage change orders and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project changes.Lead and mentor construction teams, promoting a collaborative work environment.Implement risk management strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.QualificationsExperience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes or similarBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management, and quality control.Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills.In-depth understanding of building codes and safety regulations.Experience with educational facility construction and large capital projects.Proficiency in managing construction projects in compliance with public codes and regulations.LEED certification and knowledge of DSA regulations are a plus.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonus
