The floor care associate is responsible for providing and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, ensuring that all floor surfaces and bathrooms are properly maintained. Essential Responsibilities Maintain the sales floor, liquor store, offices, break rooms, backrooms, training rooms, and bathrooms orderly and free from safety hazards. Report defective equipment and hazards to management. Provide continuous attention to guest needs; greet, assist, and thank guests in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner. Operate floor care and department equipment and use associated tools and chemicals. Sweep and/or vacuum rugs and carpets and return them to their original location. Remove carpet stains. Dispose of trash and perform deep cleaning of the bathroom. Notify management about theft of team members, customer store theft, unauthorized discounts, defacement of property, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English. Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain it. Successful completion of pre-employment drug tests and background checks. Compliance with all company policies and procedures. High standard of integrity and reliability. Basic computer skills necessary to participate in online training. Environment and Physical Demands Physical Demands While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee must stand or walk on tiles or concrete, use manual dexterity, speak, see, hear, smell, and perform repetitive motions with both hands and/or both feet. Frequently required to reach waist level or above the head, lift, push, or carry up to 75 pounds and pull up to 250 pounds. Occasionally required to sit, balance, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb up to 10 feet. Work Conditions While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee may be exposed to working in indoor, outdoor, cold, heat, and humidity/moisture conditions. Safety Risk Factors Frequently required to twist the back and/or neck, walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface, work with dangerous equipment, and be exposed to sharp objects. Occasionally required to be exposed to loud noises, skin irritants, annoying dust, fumes, and hazardous cleaning solutions and other toxins. Schedules Employee required to work varied schedules, including overnights in some locations. Machines, Tools, Equipment, etc. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will utilize a scanner, scale, terminal, coupon dispenser, conveyor belt, bagging supplies, shopping carts, and cleaning supplies and equipment.
