Construction Manager
Responsible for construction management, safety, and quality on capital projects (retrofit/expansion of existing facilities, clean room installation, and equipment installation for semiconductor R&D cleanrooms) managed by a general contractor.Job Responsibilities• Oversee construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of safety and quality, with a goal of zero safety incidents on all projects.• Partner with safety and quality managers to address and resolve safety and quality concerns; coordinate with the contractor, EHS, and the project team to ensure timely reporting of incidents and near misses; participate in investigations, develop corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.• Manage day-to-day coordination of construction activities, ensuring contractor efficiency.• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved project specifications and procedures; identify deviations from plans and implement corrective actions as required.• Coordinate Change Management with Project Management—review contractor justifications, estimates, and complete change order negotiations for review and approval by project stakeholders.Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.• 10+ years of experience as a construction manager with experience across commercial building construction, clean room construction, and installation of chemical production processes.• OSHA 30 certification (minimum).• Experience interpreting ASME, ACI, Building Construction and Owner Standards and Procedures.• Experience with accident investigations and reports.• First Aid and CPR Certification.
