Associate Attorney

ZaphyrRecruit is partnering with a well-established general practice law firm in Missouri to hire an Associate Attorney.This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level attorney (0–7 years experience) to gain hands-on exposure across litigation and transactional work while working directly with experienced attorneys in a close-knit, high-performance environment. The firm has built a strong regional reputation and offers a unique “big fish in a small pond” opportunity, working closely with business owners and a diverse client base.Key Responsibilities:● Manage client relationships and conduct client meetings● Draft legal documents including petitions, motions, briefs, and communications● Handle court appearances and litigation matters● Work closely with senior attorneys to learn firm practices and client approach● Collaborate with support staff and internal teams● Maintain a consistent caseload and meet billable expectationsRequirementsMust-Have:● Active Missouri Bar License (required)● 0–7 years of legal experience● Strong interpersonal and communication skills● Business-minded approach to legal practice (billing, collections, client management)● Willingness to work beyond standard office hours when requiredPreferred:● Courtroom or litigation experience (or strong interest in litigation)● Strong writing and drafting skills (original, non-AI work)● Positive attitude with strong situational awareness● Ability to work with clients from diverse backgroundsDeal Breakers:● Expectation of remote/hybrid work● Strict 9–5 mindset without ownership of workload● Poor attitude or lack of professionalism in client interactions
