Finance & Accounting Manager

Position OverviewWe are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of the firm’s U.S. business. This role will work directly with the Principal and serve as a key member of the firm’s core team.This position goes beyond traditional bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will bring structure, clarity, and control to the firm’s financial operations, with a strong understanding of project-based revenue and professional services environments.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial OperationsManage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and reconciliationsMaintain accurate financial records across entities and coordinate with external CPA for tax filings and complianceOversee monthly and quarterly financial reportingFinancial Reporting & AnalysisPrepare monthly P&L statements, income vs. expense tracking, and basic balance sheet reportingMaintain cash flow tracking and forecastingProduce quarterly financial summaries to support strategic decision-makingProject Financial ManagementTrack project budgets, fees, and profitability across active projectsMonitor billing schedules and ensure timely invoicingManage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding paymentsSupport fee structuring and payment schedules for new proposalsStrategic SupportAssist with annual budgeting and financial planningTrack performance against budget and update forecasts as neededProvide insights into business performance, margins, and growthOperations & SystemsImplement and manage accounting systems and internal financial workflowsCoordinate payroll processing with ADP, including review of payroll reports and approvalsEnsure alignment between payroll records and internal financials (payroll taxes managed through ADP)Coordinate consultant payments and internal compensation trackingImprove internal processes for efficiency and financial transparencyQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4–8+ years of relevant experience in accounting or financeExperience in architecture, design, real estate, or professional services is highly preferredStrong understanding of project-based accounting and fee structuresExperience with payroll platforms such as ADP is preferredProficiency in QuickBooks (or similar) and ExcelStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and maintain strict confidentialityCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $90,000 – $115,000, based on experiencePerformance Bonus: Up to 10–20% annuallyHealth Insurance: Medical, Dental, and VisionPaid Time Off: 10–15 days plus company holidaysOpportunity for long-term growth into a leadership role within the firmLocationNew York, NY (DUMBO, Brooklyn)In-person preferred, with some flexibilityWhy JoinThis role is central to the firm’s growth in the United States.
