Shipping Clerk
DescriptionUnder the direction of the Shipping Manager, this position loads and unloads trucks, receives, verifies and stores incoming inventory items, and completes paperwork as needed.This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit Conveys units or pallets from storage or work areas to designated areas Loads and unloads parts onto or from pallets, trays racks and shelves by hand Attaches identifying tags or labels to completed units or marks other information on other types of packaging Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands together Wraps, skid and anchors units to pallets for shipping or exporting as required Notifies Shipping Manager when orders are completed and ready for shipping Enters order numbers and prints BOL’s from SAP Regular and reliable attendance Keep area clean and organized Follow safety procedures and instructions Maintain productivity throughout shift Meet the daily production schedule as provided by Shipping Manager Other duties as assignedRequirements Ability to learn new management software for tracking shipping and inventory Attention to detail Follows directions Willing to assist others Positive attitude Time management skills
