Regulatory Compliance Specialist

**Summary** This role oversees the company's cross-border trade activities to ensure full compliance with U.S. and international regulations. The specialist will manage product classifications, coordinate with trade partners, maintain compliance documentation, and drive initiatives that reduce cost and regulatory risk.**Responsibilities**+ **Customs & Shipping:** Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for customs brokers, monitor shipment status, and verify all required documentation is accurate and complete prior to clearance.+ **Trade Regulations:** Maintain working knowledge of EAR, ITAR, and customs requirements, applying them consistently across all import and export activity.+ **Product Classification:** Determine the correct HTS codes, ECCN numbers, and Country of Origin for all applicable products and components.+ **Trade Agreement Management:** Leverage applicable trade programs such as USMCA/CUSMA and manage Section 232 tariff exclusion processes to reduce duty exposure.+ **Records & Compliance Audits:** Keep import/export records current and organized; run periodic internal reviews to catch errors and ensure processes are audit-ready.+ **Risk & Process Improvement:** Flag compliance issues before they escalate, assess root causes, and work cross-functionally to close gaps and streamline workflows.+ **Agency Coordination:** Act as the internal point of contact for government agency inquiries (Customs, FDA, USDA, etc.) and keep the team informed of regulatory updates.+ **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Partner with logistics, legal, and sales teams as well as external freight forwarders to keep shipments moving smoothly and compliantly.+ **Compliance Program Maintenance:** Own the restricted party screening process and keep internal trade compliance policies up to date.**Qualifications**+ Prior experience in freight, customs brokerage, or trade compliance within a manufacturing setting.+ Hands-on knowledge of EAR, ITAR, and U.S. Customs requirements.+ Comfortable working in ERP environments such as SAP or Oracle; experience with trade management platforms a plus.+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or equivalent experience.+ CUSECO certification or Licensed Customs Broker status preferred.**Contract Manufacturing**+ Monitor offshore production partners for adherence to U.S. trade regulations.+ Spot and act on opportunities to lower tariff and duty costs.+ Build and maintain clear SOPs that guide supply chain and logistics operations.Benefits:+ 401(k)+ Dental insurance+ Health insurance+ Life insurance+ Paid time off+ Vision insuranceWork Location: In person**Pay Details:** $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per yearEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledMilitary connected talent encouraged to applyTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.adecco.com/en-us/candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:+ The California Fair Chance Act+ Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance+ Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers+ San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance**Massachusetts Candidates Only:** It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
