Helpdesk Support Technician

OverviewWe are seeking a Data Center Operations (DCO) Technician to support and maintain the hardware infrastructure behind the latest cloud computing server technologies. This role is hands-on and mission-critical, focused on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing server and network hardware in a high-availability, 24/7 data center environment.The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, a bias for action, and the ability to dive deep into complex rack-level issues while maintaining the highest operational and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hardware break/fix maintenance on servers and related data center equipmentDiagnose and resolve server, cabling, power, and network hardware issues through root-cause analysisExecute hands-on tasks including component replacement, inspections, and hardware repairsRespond quickly to alarms, faults, power issues, thermal events, and cabling failures to prevent service impactMaintain precision and accuracy in cabling, labeling, patching, and rack power installationsWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure uptime, safety, and operational excellenceCommunicate technical findings clearly to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledgeRequired Skills & QualificationsMinimum 1+ year of hardware break/fix experiencePrevious hands-on experience with server maintenance, including:Hardware diagnosticsTroubleshootingRepair of physical componentsSolid understanding of computer servers, network devices, and command-line diagnosticsAbility to work on your feet for 12-hour shifts in a data center environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and situational awareness skillsAbility to contribute positively to both inter- and intra-team collaborationJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Boardman, OR.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
