About Neal Hefner Construction:Neal Hefner Construction is a trusted, family-owned company specializing in commercial and residential construction, known for its commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction built over decades of experience.Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager & Estimator for our Springdale, AR office. This role is responsible for managing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout while also preparing accurate & competitive cost estimates. This role requires strong coordination skills, cost control expertise, and the ability to balance estimating responsibilities with active project management.Key Responsibilities:[Estimating & Preconstruction]Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposalsPerform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor bidsSolicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier pricingIdentify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measuresAssist with bid strategy and contract negotiations[Project Management]Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from award to completionDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plansManage subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnelEnsure compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and quality standardsReview and process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applicationsMonitor project costs and proactively manage budget performanceCommunicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teamsConduct project meetings and provide regular status updatesOversee project closeout, including punch lists and final documentationQualifications:5+ years of experience in construction estimating and/or project managementExperience working for a general contractorStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencingAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contractsProficiency with estimating and project management software (e.g., JobTread, Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, MS Project, Excel)Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities(Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field(Preferred) Experience managing commercial projects(Preferred) OSHA certification(Preferred) Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processesWork Environment:Combination of office and job-site workMay require travel to active project sitesFull-time positionCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceLocally owned & operated companyPaid time off & holidaysOpportunities for growth within a stable, growing companyJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Paid time offProfessional development assistance
