Structural Welder Mig & Flux Apache Workforce Houston, TX 77051 Day & Night Shift Available Pay: $20.00–$30.00/hour based on experience Night Shift Differential: Additional 10% on top of base pay Apache Workforce is currently hiring experienced Structural Welders in Houston, TX. We are seeking skilled welders with strong fabrication and structural welding experience who are ready to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Overview The Structural Welder is responsible for performing weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role requires strong welding knowledge, blueprint interpretation skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Perform structural welding and fabrication operations according to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings Set up and operate welding equipment using proper welding parameters Work with various steel alloys and filler materials Use conventional and precision measuring instruments accurately Complete inspection documentation and maintain welding records Inspect and maintain welding equipment and tools Perform finish grinding using hand and power tools Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards Follow OSHA safety procedures and company safety policies Properly use PPE and report safety concerns immediately Participate in safety meetings and training sessions Perform additional duties assigned Qualifications & Skills Strong ability to read blueprints and welding drawings Proficiency in various welding techniques and processes Experience completing inspection forms and production documentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Education High School Diploma or GED required Vocational welding training or certifications preferred Minimum Requirements Successful completion of an internal welding test Minimum 5 years of structural welding experience Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments Strong understanding of welding safety practices and procedures Preferred Qualifications AWS Certification or equivalent welding certification preferred Experience with robotic welding systems Familiarity with advanced welding techniques and specialty materials Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing/shop environment Exposure to industrial temperatures and shop conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs Ability to work up to 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed May rotate between workstations based on production needs Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and required PPE must be worn at all times Ear protection recommended Apply Today Join TAS Energy through Apache Workforce and become part of a skilled manufacturing team focused on safety, quality, and craftsmanship in Houston’s industrial sector.
