Warehouse Supervisor
The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the execution of shipping/receiving to support our Customers truckloads, accurate and timely input of TMS and WMS transactions, inventory accuracy and control, supporting facilities management and warehouse asset maintenance.Main Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with Inventory Managers to develop and drive best practices within the warehouse including FEFO (First Expired First Out) outbound picking, rotating WIP (Work In Progress) stock to allow production to consume oldest components first and escalating any discrepanciesCommunicate to warehouse staff regarding daily goals, deadlines and next day’s planProcessing inbound and outbound Sojo WMS transactions as needed based on facility staffing coverage; supporting other local Sojo facilities for any WMS coverage as neededResponsible to ensure forklift drivers are obeying company safety policies and operating in a safe manner; performing their pre-shift and post-shift fork maintenance checks; and reporting any fork malfunctions to the Warehouse ManagerEnsure all shipping clerks and supervisors are auditing forklift operators accuracy on inbound and outbound loads, following loading SOPs and adhering to all Safety procedures (chocking trailer wheels, locking airlines, etc.)Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels of warehouse consumable itemsManage dock appointments and maintain scheduling of Customer appointments through Sojo’s TMS truck scheduling portal; including coordinating dock appointment priorities to the Planning Team and escalating any no show or late appointments to sameMaintain Customer LOT number accuracy on all inbound product receipts and ensure all expiration dates are correct to all Customer SOP expectationsEnsure warehouse facility complies with all OSHA and food-and-beverage certifications; supervise facilities maintenance and repair as necessary.All other duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications: Inventory management systems experience – NetSuite preferredWarehouse Management Systems or ERP experience highly desired; NetSuite is preferred.Possesses effective written and verbal communications skills.Possesses effective reading comprehension skills.Strong communication skills for delivering clear and concise instructions.Fluency in English is required, and Spanish is a plus.Computer and database application skills – Microsoft Office applications experience requiredSit-down Forklift (LP & Electric) experience is highly desired.Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.Ability to stand, walk and use hands continuously during and up to 10–12-hour shift.Good hand and eye coordination required.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The associate will be responsible for carrying out their tasks in a warehouse setting that may experience varying temperatures. They will be required to navigate within the warehouse to operate machinery and utilize other equipment. The associates must be able to endure long periods of standing and may occasionally need to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
