Registered Behavior Technician (Hiring Immediately)
DS Therapies provides high quality occupational, speech, and ABA therapy services. The Registered Behavior Technician will provide direct one-to-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors in a specialized school setting. The RBT may be assigned to work part of their day in a student academic support center on site, in either one-on-one or small group settings. DS Therapies does partner with Divine Savior Ministries, Academy, and Church and at times our services may be directed to support clients in these areas as well. Duties Building and maintaining rapport with the client Keeping up-to-date with program goals/changes for each client Implementation of ABA programs as directed by the BCBA Maintains communication with BCBA regarding client's behavior and any concerns Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior Respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations Maintain client confidentiality Records daily patient documentation and statistics according to DST standards Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as directed by the administration Adheres to applicable laws, rules, and regulations specified by regulatory agencies Support students from DSA academically in a small group or 1:1 setting when assigned Assists in other necessary jobs that may be assigned as needed Ability to demonstrate ethical conduct according to a Christian set of values and the RBT ethics code Ability to be receptive to feedback and implement needed changes Ability to appropriately interact with students, clients, parents/guardians and other health care professionals in all work related situations Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Analytical ability necessary to evaluate client condition, to interpret and analyze data, and determine appropriate follow-up Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients, families and co-workers Ability to interpret, adapt and react calmly under stressful conditions Requirements High School diploma or equivalent required / Bachelor's Degree preferred Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician by the BACB Must speak fluent English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Level 2 fingerprinting background Great people skills; pleasant and energetic is a must for our children and their families Be responsible, dependable, and reliable BLS (Basic Life Support)/CPR Certification or willingness to achieve certification in a face-to-face course PCMA Practitioner Level 2 Certification or willingness to participate in training provided by organization Reliable transportation Strong computer and technology skills Physical Requirements Bending and stooping, climbing, kneeling, lifting/carrying clients 35 pounds or greater, reaching, repetitive movements, running, sitting, squatting, standing, walking, handling biological waste, blood and bodily fluid, slippery surfaces, and keyboard entry Reports to: Clinical Director
