Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming walls, ceilings, and trim to ensure a smooth painting surface. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or power tools for efficient coverage. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of construction estimating and renovation processes. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately. Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, brushes, rollers, and power tools including airless paint sprayers. Knowledge of color theory for effective application of paints and finishes that complement interior design schemes. Experience with commercial or industrial painting projects is a plus; knowledge of restoration techniques is highly valued. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately. Hands-on experience with carpentry tasks like trim carpentry or frame carpentry enhances your versatility on the job site. Strong background in construction estimating, schematics interpretation, plastering, stucco application, masonry or concrete finishing is advantageous. Valid experience working on construction sites with exposure to remodeling or renovation environments preferred. Excellent attention to detail combined with good physical stamina; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces safely. Demonstrated maintenance person experience including fixture installation or maintenance work is beneficial.
