Equipment Operator
The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of construction equipment, ensuring job sites remain safe, clean, and efficient. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple types of heavy machinery, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a range of heavy equipment, including mini excavators, backhoes, and skid steers, in a safe and efficient mannerPerform routine inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs to ensure equipment is in proper working conditionLoad, unload, and transport equipment as neededMaintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all timesFollow all company safety policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulationsIdentify equipment issues and troubleshoot or report problems promptlyAssist with general construction duties as requiredTrain and mentor new team members on proper equipment operation and safety practicesParticipate in safety meetings and ongoing training to stay current on best practicesQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredValid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred or requiredProven experience operating heavy equipment, including mini excavators, backhoes, and skid steersValid Drivers LicenseStrong knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocolsAbility to read and follow instructions, including site plans and safety guidelinesSolid troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesReliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused mindsetPhysical RequirementsMust be able to walk and work on uneven terrain, including pea gravel and excavationsMust be able to climb in and out of equipment safelyMust be able to pull and break pipes looseMust be able to wear and properly utilize fall protection equipmentMust be able to enter confined spaces to perform tasks (when trained and authorized)Must be able to pass a DOT physicalMust be able to work outdoors in hot and cold environmentsMust be able to pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation when requiredMust be able to drive for extended periods of time safely and maintain focus while operating a vehicleMust be able to work on stomach to access underground equipment for extended periodsCompensation And Benefits10 Paid HolidaysFlexible Time Off401(k) Company MatchHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHSA and FSADisability & Occupational Accident InsuranceCompany-Paid Life Insurance PolicyEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)World-class paid training program for you to learn the skills for long term career success.
