DescriptionSalary: $40,000 - $43,000/yearThe start date for this position is estimated to be early- to mid-September 2026.Gunnison is seeking a Desktop Technician to support the Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs (DOI/IA) user base. This role provides end-user computing support across enterprise environments, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. The Desktop Technician III will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, support standard and specialized applications, and ensure reliable IT operations.Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced Tier II/III technical support and operates independently with minimal supervision, resolving moderately complex technical issues.Provide advanced desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripheralsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivitySupport Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace (Gmail)Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systemsSupport specialized applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, or other business applicationsDocument incidents, resolutions, and system changes in a ticketing systemCollaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated issuesRequirementsAssociate degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 3 years of related technical experienceExperience supporting:Desktop and laptop systemsMobile devicesPrinters and scannersLAN, servers, and network switchesAbility to troubleshoot hardware and software issues independentlyWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceAbility to work with minimal guidanceMust be a U.S. CitizenMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearanceThe salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.BenefitsGunnison Consulting Group's total compensation package also includes bonus and profit-sharing opportunities, depending on company and employee performance.
