The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in consumer culture including lifestyle, entertainment, fandom and sports, and brings a strong point of view on what’s trending across media, social platforms, and the broader cultural landscape.Job description:Serves as a key integrated team member in support of global campaigns, including developing and maintaining action plans, goals and objectives, media materials and campaign strategies in collaboration with and support from senior team membersGenerates ideas and drafts materials (e.g., announcements, written content, press Q&A, proposals and reports), across a range of consumer and corporate programsResearch media topics, cultural trends, important issues, and the media landscape in support of new assignments and projectsAttends client events and manages on-site media and influencers at local and national eventsMaintains a keen interest in current news and cultural trends; proactively shares insights with teams and clients to inform plans, strategies and activationsAnticipates and proactively offers solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programsActively engages in daily client communication and manages detailed tasks with the account and client teamsDevelops and manages project timelines, call agendas and recaps as well as integrated weekly action plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are metIs highly collaborative and thrives in an environment where they work with a range of more junior and senior team membersRequirements:2 or more years’ experience in public relations at an agency or corporate in-house consumer experience strongly preferred)Experience and interest in working with consumer and lifestyle client’s Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and writtenStrong attention to detail and project management skillsAbility to multi-task effectively and work within tight deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSalary Range: $70,400 USD – $76,000 USDWhere an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.Weber Shandwick is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
