Data Manager for the Exceptional Children ProgramJohnston County Public Schools Exceptional Children's Services - Smithfield, North Carolina Open in Google MapsStarting Date: ImmediatelyJob DescriptionJohnston County Public Schools Vacancy AnnouncementTitle Data Manager for the Exceptional Children ProgramsLocation West CampusReports To Executive Director of Exceptional Children ProgramsJob Goal To Import/Export, maintain, and manage all data involving students in grades PreK-12 within Exceptional Children Programs that is needed to fulfill Federal and State reporting requirements, and serve as an informational resource to all Exceptional Children staff on the Every Child Accountability Tracking System (ECATS) district wide.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate and utilize district digital platforms (such as PowerSchool, ECATS, Scribbles, NCTracks, and Fairbanks) to maintain student data, spreadsheets, student records, and be knowledgeable of how to access information.Assist in training, problem solving, and navigation of ECATS for all Exceptional Children staff and teachers.Work with all Exceptional Children staff to compile and submit required annual Federal and State reports to the Department of Public Instruction (December child count, April child count, Exit child count, Indicator reports).Collaborate with all PowerSchool staff and data managers to maintain student information in ECATS.Collaborate with Public Consulting Group (PCG), NCTracks, and Division of Health Benefits (DHB) to maintain required components for Medicaid logging and reimbursement funds.Compile quarterly reports for Fairbanks LLC related to required Random Moment Time Study Federal requirements.Daily monitoring of Random Moment Time Study surveys from Johnston County Public Schools employees.Collaborate with the testing office and other departments to ensure adequate reports of testing accommodations are in place.Oversee and maintain parental consents for students throughout the district in the Exceptional Children programs.Communicate with other Data managers and EC teachers about new students enrolling.Communicate with the Executive Director of Exceptional Children Programs and Budget Analyst on remittance and reimbursement funds for Medicaid billing.Liaise between contracted physician, PCG, and Finance office for Medicaid billing.Maintain licensing records for Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Psychologists for required logging for Medicaid.While this document is an initial outline of the duties that will be required of this position, the employee's final job duties are subject to change at any time due to the discretion of the supervisor. It is a job requirement of all employees to complete other duties as assigned.Physical RequirementsMust be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with parents, staff, community leaders, and any other Johnston County Public Schools customers.Must be able to physically perform basic life operational functions such as fingering, grasping, kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.Special RequirementsKnowledge of computer operations and excellent computer skills; familiarity with PowerSchool, ECATS, NCTracks, Scribbles is a plus.Ability to operate standard office equipment.Ability and willingness to communicate effectively in written form, oral form, and through electronic mail.Organized and able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.Ability to resolve problematic situations.Ability to learn, interpret, and explain ECATS, regulations, and programs.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.Position Type: Full-TimeDISCLAIMER: The above statements are intended to describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this position.
