The distributive leadership of our Workplace studio enables us to mobilize comprehensive teams that can meet the requirements of virtually any workplace building project or program, regardless of size or location.Position SummaryAs a key contributor to our design team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day design and technical development of projects. You will coordinate all aspects of project documentation and delivery, working closely with our integrated design team to produce high-quality work while ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and work plans.As part of our integrated design team, you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. You will partner directly with the Project Manager to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication. You'll help lead small to medium-sized workplace projects, both interiors and select exteriors, while collaborating across disciplines to create environments that reflect each client's culture, operations, and brand.If you are a collaborative thought leader with a strategic mindset this might be the position for you. We rely on all our employee-owners to apply their financial acumen to grow the Firm profitably.What you will do:Develop creative and technically sound solutions to design challenges, ensuring high standards of design excellenceCoordinate project drawings, specifications, and documentation with the project team, ensuring alignment with design intent and budgetLead collaboration within project teams, generating innovative design ideas and solutionsApply advanced architectural concepts to projects, including complex assignments requiring new or improved techniquesIntegrate QA/QC procedures and practice standards into project deliverables, resolving any issuesEnsure BIM standards are applied and coordinate with the Project Manager and BIM ManagerProvide technical guidance to less experienced staff, fostering a collaborative learning environmentMeet project deliverable deadlines and manage time effectively to maintain project schedules and work plansParticipate in client presentations and contribute to successful project outcomesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (Graduate degree not required unless mandated by local licensure regulations)Minimum of eight years of professional experience in architectureProfessional licensure required; LEED AP and other certifications preferred but not requiredProficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and standard architectural softwareCompetent in technical design, with the ability to investigate, evaluate, and recommend solutions that meet client needsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to multitask and maintain quality standardsDemonstrates initiative, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learningWillingness to travel 30–35% of the time to support client engagement, design collaboration, and on-site project work.*TO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE SUBMIT CURRENT PORTFOLIO/WORK SAMPLES IN PDF FORMAT*DLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.We are 100% employee-owned: every employee is literally invested in our clients' success.
