In 1997 the Waterville Boys & Girls Club, the Waterville YMCA, and the City of Waterville came together to create the Alfond Youth & Community Center (AYCC). The AYCC stands as the only successful collaboration of a Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) and YMCA in the United States.
