Wednesday-Sunday (2:30PM-11:00PM)
Job Description:
The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for performing and maintaining analytical testing to ensure compliance with company standards. This position will work closely with the Laboratory Manager and other Analytical Technicians to provide support to the laboratory in all areas of testing, including but not limited to:
Analytical Chemist I/II responsibilities:
Intaking and processing raw samples
Running cannabis compliance samples
Documenting work performed in laboratory notes, instrument logbooks, and worksheets.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Working with instrumentation software (knowledge of PerkinElmer software a plus)
Maintaining assigned laboratory instruments and equipment
Performing calibrations and routine maintenance on instrumentation
Performing data review
Required Skills and Experience:
Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and analytical methodologies
Experience with any of the following: LC, LC/MS/MS, GC/MS, ICP-MS, and PCR
Attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team, self-motivating, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and follow instructions
Adept at interpretation of LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, LC, and GC/MS data
Strong background with analytical chemistry techniques, methods, and calculations
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Method development and R&D experience a plus
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or chemical engineering. Experience may be substituted for education.
At least 2 years laboratory experience, preferably in a regulated environment (environmental, pharmaceutical, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
