Restaurant Host/Hostess

Join our team! Bloom is a modern, bistro style breakfast and lunch restaurant located in the heart of Santa Clara, CA. We serve exciting breakfast and lunch dishes with a unique and modern twist. We have a full bar and feature craft cocktails specifically designed to pair well with our dishes. We are looking for a Host/Hostess full time. We are looking for candidates with a customer service and restaurant background. Impeccable communication skills and the ability to multitask are key for this position. We depend on the Host/Hostess to set the tone and create the most enjoyable dining experience possible for our customers, as they are the first point of contact and first impressions are anything. The ideal candidate would have a warm and outgoing personality, positive attitude, hardworking, polite, patient, accommodating, and extremely professional. It is imperative that our Host/Hostess takes initiative and is able to deal with high volume. We are extremely busy and staff must remain composed under pressure and have an abundance of patience. This person should also have a passion for the food and hospitality industries. Our goal is to provide a great team culture and positive working environment. It is imperative that every employee is on-board and working to provide the highest level of customer service possible. English fluency is required, ability to speak other languages is a plus. Experience is highly recommended. Please keep in mind that the start date would be as soon as possible and the initial hours will be from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday. Ability to work weekends is a must. Please make sure that you are available during these hours if you are interested in this position. Compensation starts at $19 per hour to start.
