Civil Estimator Construction

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator Construction to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring bids are competitive and comprehensive. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation, with the ability to analyze blueprints and manage multiple projects efficiently. Duties Develop detailed construction estimates using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software. Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to determine scope of work and cost factors. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to negotiate pricing and scope adjustments. Prepare bid proposals and submit accurate cost estimates within deadlines. Monitor project costs during execution to ensure adherence to budgets and identify areas for cost control. Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning. Conduct site visits to gather on-site data and assess construction site conditions. Manage subcontractor bids, evaluate their proposals, and incorporate them into overall estimates. Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, contracts, and correspondence. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within heavy civil or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction management processes, contracts, and project lifecycle. Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software tools. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, cost control, pricing strategies, and contract management. Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand on-the-ground realities. Familiarity with project management principles to coordinate effectively across teams. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all estimations.
