This role involves hands-on work across mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems and is part of a collaborative team of scientists and engineers. The Process Technician will contribute directly to building, maintaining, and refining specialized systems while supporting overall team effectiveness and day-to-day operations.Responsibilities:Fabricate and assemble custom mechanical parts, fixtures, tooling, and test setupsCoordinate with vendors to acquire parts and materials; verify quality and conformance upon receiptPut together and integrate mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assembliesPerform low-voltage wiring, cable assembly, and basic electronics workIdentify, analyze, and resolve issues within prototype systems using appropriate test tools and interfacesExecute system testing and performance validation in both controlled lab settings and real-world environmentsMaintain and organize tools, equipment, and shared workshop spacesProvide hands-on support to teammates to help maintain workflow and project momentumRequired Qualifications and Skills:Practical experience with mechanical fabrication and system assemblyProven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in hardware or prototype environmentsExperience reading and working from technical drawings, schematics, and documented proceduresFamiliarity with precision measurement equipment and inspection techniquesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team settingComfortable using Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communicationPreferred Experience and Skills:Experience using CAD or CAM toolsBackground working in maritime or marine-related environmentsExposure to robotics or automated systemsExperience writing basic scripts to support automation or testingWorking knowledge of PythonFamiliarity with GitHub or version control toolsBenefits- Competitive Compensation (DOE)- Strong career growth opportunities
