Maintenance Mechanic
Thompson First Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire role with a local client in Aston, PA.Candidates that have a background completing largely mechanical repairs in a manufacturing setting are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Inspect various types of industrial, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic machines for functionality issuesConduct repairs aiming for maximum reliabilityTroubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerPerform maintenance on machinery, equipment and systemsProvide corrective maintenance and preventative measures to machinesKeep logs of work and report on issuesUndertake other duties as assignedRequirements:Proven experience as MechanicKnowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their componentsAbility to use various hand tools (drills, grinders, screwdrivers, hammers, measuring tools etc.)Ability to follow procedures and practices and read instruction, schematics etc.Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelinesGood communication skillsProblem-solving abilities QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED); Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a plusMust have 1-2 years' experience at a food processing plantAbility to read, understand, and follow production schedules, SOPs, and safety guidelines.Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus. Work EnvironmentCold temperatures (40°F-48°F) in refrigerated processing areas.Wet, noisy environment with exposure to raw meat and cleaning chemicals.Shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. Physical RequirementsAbility to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly.Standing for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
