Director of CybersecurityOur Dallas based global manufacturing client is searching for a Director of Cybersecurity, who will be responsible for safeguarding the organization's information assets by developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies. This hands-on role manages the cybersecurity team, oversees security operations, ensures compliance, and provides leadership in response to security incidents. This role will also play an integral role in risk management and M&A activities.MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE: Manufacturing domain Global Zero Trust Azure One or more relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.)Core Competencies: Strategic Thinking:Ability to develop a long-term vision and implement strategic initiatives for cybersecurity. Collaboration:Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships.Job Responsibilities Develop, Implement and Maintain Security Policies:Establish and manage comprehensive security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines that supports alignment to applicable regulations including industry best practices (SOX, PCI, CMMC, NIST, ISO, COBIT, ITIL) Risk Management:Facilitate risk assessment and management processes to identify and mitigate potential threats. Incident Response:Oversee incident response planning and coordinate recovery efforts in the event of a security breach. Compliance:Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Security Awareness:Develop and implement security awareness training programs for employees. Reporting:Provide regular updates on the status of the information security program to senior management and the board of directors. Develop business-relevant metrics and key performance indicators to measure cybersecurity program maturity Team Leadership:Manage and lead a team of security professionals to implement and maintain security measures. 3rd Party management:Manages third parties including measurement to SLAs and reporting on work product and recommendations for improvement. Program Leadership:Provides expertise, support and guidance to IT Team and business partners on security related operations; evaluates products and/or procedures to enhance information security productivity and effectiveness Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.Job Requirements: One or more relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar are required. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. 5-7 years prior experience in a senior cybersecurity leadership role for publicly traded company 10-15 years’ experience Need to have zero trust experience. Microsoft shop Azure Commercial industrial manufacturing industry experience is helpful.Skills: Technical Expertise:Proficiency in cybersecurity principles, frameworks, tools, and technologies. Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate security concepts to diverse audiences. Project Management:Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Risk Management:Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks. Leadership:Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide the cybersecurity team. Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze data and security metrics to inform decision-making.Abilities: Adaptability:Ability to adjust to rapidly changing cybersecurity threats and technologies. Attention to Detail:Keen attention to detail to identify and address security vulnerabilities. Critical Thinking:Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate security threats and responses. Innovation:Ability to develop innovative security solutions to protect the organization. Resilience:Capability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situationsAdditional Notes: Will led 3 employees. They have a good cyber program in place, but looking for someone that can come in and take it to the next level and mature the program. Looking for global experience as they will be working with risk, compliance in 4 other countries. Need to have zero trust experience. This role will function as the CISO as they do not have one.Travel:Some travel required; must have the ability to travel across borders.
