Tree of Knowledge - Tree of Knowledge Learning Academy, a fast-growing, client and therapist-focused company is seeking a strong Occupational Therapist to join our team!Key responsibilities include:Assessment:Conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine a child's strengths and weaknesses in areas like fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.Reviewing medical history and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.Treatment Planning:Developing individualized therapy plans that address specific needs and goals.Creating activities and exercises to promote skill development and independence.Therapy Delivery:Providing one-on-one or small group therapy sessions.Implementing evidence-based interventions to improve functional abilities.Documentation:Maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.Collaboration:Working closely with families to educate them about their child's needs and to provide strategies for home practice.Collaborating with other professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, and educators, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.Advocacy:Advocate for children's needs and rights.Monitoring and Adjustment:Monitoring a child's progress throughout therapy to ensure they are meeting their goals and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.Skills:Clinical Skills: Strong assessment, treatment planning, and therapy skills.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and other professionals.Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with children and families.Knowledge of Pediatric Development: Understanding of typical and atypical child development.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions.Adaptability: Ability to work in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and clinics.Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately and thoroughly document assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
