Software Engineer - Golang

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Software Engineer - Golang for a temporary assignment in Plano, Texas. This is a 12-month contract. We're looking for a passionate and highly motivated mid-level developer to join the engineering team responsible for system design and architecture, developing high-quality functions, and providing technical leadership and vision in design, implementation, testing, and rolling out existing and new services in a multi-region configuration. Responsibilities Design and development of REST & gRPC application program interfaces (API) and web services Design and create reusable frameworks/components to help the needs of global delivery Maintain REST API documentation using Swagger and design documentation Maintain Proto files for gRPC services Document work and engage in quality testing/validation for changes or improved features before releasing to the customer Troubleshoot issues and debug codebases Work on AWS cloud platform including EKS Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes Ensure API layer aspects for security, monitoring, analytics, and throttling Work with leads and team members to meet all project deliverables and milestone dates Communicate well with team members and suppliers and work collaboratively Qualifications 5–8 years of experience with one or more programming languages such as Golang (must have a minimum of 3–4 years), Java, or JavaScript Reasonable experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), DevOps, cloud engineering, architecture, and SaaS Proficiency in clean architecture, API design, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis Preferred Skills Prior experience in automotive multimedia systems Experience in implementing and validating platform technical specifications Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology Magnit is an equal-opportunity employer, and all applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
