Find your future with us.This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.Position Responsibilities:Analyze and understand system transactions Assist in resolving discrepancies by coordinating with employees, suppliers and other organizationsPerform basic supplier account reconciliations, work closely supply chain management and other members of the organization and answering there questionsApply Cash ReceiptsDisbursement transactions with suppliers in accounts payableUse Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and controls that will prevent or reduce risk of potential misstatementsEnsure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), internal controls, and company and departmental proceduresReconcile assigned general ledger accountsAssist with internal and external audit requestsWeekly review of the critical pay suppliers insuring payments are made timelyManage assigned projects to deadlines. Supporting any payment related projectsWork under deadlines and assist with resolving accounting challengesCollaborate and grow in a team environmentLearn and apply knowledge and training in SAPBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Understanding of GAAP and accounting principlesAbility to work well independently and in a team environment2 to 5 years of experienceStrong Excel skills, organizing and analyzing large volumes of dataStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenVery organized, able to follow through and track tasksMust be a US CitizenHS Diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; or 5 years or more related business area of experiencePrevious accounts payable experienceSAP or other ERP systemUnion:This is a union-represented position.Drug Free Workplace:We are a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:We strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
