As a valued member of our radiation therapy team, you'll be at the forefront of innovative treatment solutions.Accurate Radiation Therapy Delivery: Deliver the planned course of radiation therapy with precision while correctly operating the treatment units with minimal supervision. Maintain visual and audible communication with patients during treatment. Perform daily linac and CT QA, as well as monthly CT QA. Execute IGRT, SBRT treatment, and portal imaging accurately. CT/Simulation: Conduct accurate CT/Simulations for radiation therapy following department and site-specific protocols. Construct immobilization devices as needed and use IV contrast for simulations. Perform respiratory gating and ACQ sim. Utilize simulation equipment for SBRT treatment and construct electron and cerrobend blocks when necessary. Properly bill for special devices and simulation procedures. Complete procedure verification assessments in MOSAIQ before simulation starts. Lead CT Therapist Responsibilities: Train all therapists in CT/Simulation, including AcQ simulation, respiratory gating, CT and laplaser QA, mould room duties, and SBRT simulation. Ensure all necessary forms required for physician completion are downloaded and ready. MOSAIQ Management: Maintain and verify all aspects of MOSAIQ for daily treatment management, including treatment calendars, patient schedules, prescriptions, photos, DRRs, and portal imaging. Verify all physics and physician treatment planning parameters. Attend weekly chart rounds and access McKesson for inpatient transportation. Utilize the Quality Check List for sending and reviewing information. Department Policies and Safety: Follow all department policies and procedures and adhere to the dress code. Utilize correct body mechanics and equipment such as slide boards and ceiling lifts. Practice the ALARA principle for radiation protection. Stay informed of all emergency procedures and report any equipment malfunctions related to patient treatment. IGRT Delivery: Safely operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery and perform IGRT accurately on all sites. Create IGRT documents and shift tracking assessments in MOSAIQ electronically. Record Maintenance: Maintain records of daily treatments and other required records. Check prescriptions, set-up instructions, and patient information daily in the chart and verify system. Record daily treatment plan monitor units accurately and document any changes in treatment plans.
