Part-Time Medical AssistantNorth Atlanta Dermatology is looking to add a part-time medical assistant to our Duluth clinic. This position supports a provider across both medical and cosmetic dermatology and is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and involved in procedures throughout the day.Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (must be available on these days)Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Fridays end at 4:00 PM)At Anne Arundel Dermatology, we're committed to delivering exceptional care not only to our patients, but to each other as a team. This is a place where you can build real clinical experience and grow long-term within the organization.ResponsibilitiesRoom patients, collect intake information, and record vitals in the EMRAssist with dermatologic procedures such as biopsies and excisionsPrepare instruments, procedure trays, and exam roomsHandle specimen collection, labeling, and lab coordinationSupport with anesthetic preparation and injections as directedDocument patient visits and assist with scribing when neededRespond to patient messages, calls, and follow-upsCommunicate pathology results and coordinate next stepsMaintain inventory, stock rooms, and monitor suppliesClean and sterilize equipment in accordance with protocolsAssist with other responsibilities as needed to support daily clinic operationsQualificationsAbility to assess patient concerns and communicate findings appropriately to the clinical teamUnderstanding of HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and bloodborne pathogen guidelinesExperience obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for both medical and procedural visitsComfortable assisting with injections and other clinical proceduresFamiliarity with medical terminology, as well as CPT and ICD-10 codingGeneral understanding of front office workflows, including basic financial policiesProficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and standard computer systemsAbility to use everyday office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, and fax machinesStrong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-focused approachEnglish fluency required (bilingual skills are a plus)Able to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical settingWorks well with providers, team members, and patients in a collaborative environmentWillingness to travel to nearby clinic locations as neededStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesAble to follow both verbal and written instructions accuratelyMaintains accuracy when handling, organizing, and documenting patient-related informationLicensure/Certifications/EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA) or CNA program is preferred, or a bachelor's degree in a pre-med or pre-PA trackPrior hands-on clinical experience in a Medical Assistant, CNA or similar patient care role preferredDermatology experience is preferredPhysical Requirements:Regularly required to be on your feet, including standing and walking throughout the dayFrequent movement such as bending, reaching, and positioning patientsUse of hands for clinical tasks, including handling instruments and suppliesCommunicating with patients and team members both in person and over the phoneLifting or moving items up to approximately 30 poundsWorking in a clinical setting with potential exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and medical sharpsBenefits (Full-Time)Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement savings planCompany-paid life insuranceShort and long-term disability optionsEmployee discounts on cosmetic services and skincare
