Buyer – Direct / Indirect ProcurementOur client is seeking two results-driven Direct and Indirect Buyers to support manufacturing operations in North Vernon, IN. These roles are critical to ensuring uninterrupted plant performance through the sourcing and procurement of a broad range of direct materials, indirect goods, and services supporting both daily operations and long-term facility needs.The Buyers will partner closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, IT, and finance to ensure supply continuity, optimize cost, and drive supplier performance across key categories. Strong supplier management and sourcing capabilities are required, with an emphasis on cost control, quality, and delivery reliability.What You’ll Do· Source and purchase direct and/or indirect materials and services· Manage RFQs, supplier evaluations, and negotiations for pricing, terms, and delivery· Maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance across cost, quality, and delivery metrics· Support procurement of production materials, MRO, hardware, software, utilities, and related categories· Process purchase orders and maintain accurate supplier and pricing data in ERP systems· Identify cost savings opportunities through sourcing strategies and supplier consolidation· Partner cross-functionally with plant, engineering, maintenance, IT, and finance teams· Support capital and project-based procurement activities as needed· Track supplier performance and assist with issue resolution and corrective actionsWhat You Bring· 3–5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)· Experience across direct and/or indirect procurement categories strongly preferred· Strong negotiation and supplier management skills· ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Infor, Plex, or similar) preferred· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis· Strong communication and organizational skills· Ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environmentWhy This Role· Broad exposure across multiple procurement categories· Direct impact on operational continuity and cost performance· Cross-functional partnership across key business functions· Opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environmentWhat We Offer· Competitive compensation and strong benefits package· Stable, hands-on manufacturing environment where your work makes a daily impact· Opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization· Collaborative team culture across operations, engineering, and supply chain· Tuition reimbursement and additional employee-focused programs and perks
