Structural Engineer
A leading design and fabrication company is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to support structural design and project delivery. The ideal candidate is a technically strong professional with expertise in structural analysis and project coordination. Working collaboratively, the new hire will drive project success by performing design and analysis while ensuring quality, compliance, and timely execution.Salary + Additional Benefits: $150,000-$180,000Medical InsuranceDental Insurance401K - company matchLocation: Houston, TXType of Position: Direct HireResponsibilities:Coordinate with the client, consultants, project team, disciplinary engineering departments, vendors, and subcontractors.Develop and monitor detailed project scope and schedule.Prepare basic engineering requirements and basic engineering design data.Review and interpret design requirements and incorporate into detailed design.Coordinate scheduling of engineering activities to issue drawings, specifications, and purchase orders, assuring receipt of information from the client, process licensors, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet the overall engineering and construction schedule.Coordinate engineering work done by the joint venture's structural group to include vendors and clients.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringP.E. (Texas preferred)Seven (7) years plus experience in detailed structural design engineering in a manufacturing environmentSoftware Experience Preferred: RISA 3D, Solidworks Simulation, TNX Tower, Helicap, Lpile, and MatcadProficient in Microsoft Office productsExperience with an ERP system is a plusAdvanced knowledge of engineering technology, codes, and standards in the USADetailed knowledge and experience of the full project lifecycleStrong capability of using available resources to complete tasks at handAbility to read and understand technical drawings to determine materials, dimensions, and specificationsDue to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
