Prepareitems for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, andshipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying andrecording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for thetransportation of products.**Education and Experience** High school diploma or equivalent Short-term on-the-job training Six months of experience in warehouse operations preferred**Position Responsibilities** Examine shipment contents and compare them with records, such asmanifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Performing Part Mark on Product/ Verify Part Mark on Product. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability,damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, orrecordkeeping purposes. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shippingorders, to route materials. Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectifyproblems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance tospecifications. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials forshipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issueinstructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks,conveyors, or sorting bins. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintaininventory of stock. Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to beshipped. Performs other duties as assigned.**Required Skills/Abilities** Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail Acceptable attendance and punctuality Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meetdeadlines. Proficient with computers or ERP software.
